I happen to love the older issues of MS Living magazine and I scoop them up whenever I find them in thrift shops. I especially like the christmas and halloween issues, but so does everyone else so they're a little harder to find, but the other day I finally found this christmas issue I've been looking for forever. It's the one with the Victorian christmas of course!

It also has this tutorial for making crochet snowflakes! This wouldn't have interested me a few years ago, but I can crochet now and I feel like I can DO these! I'm so excited to try them when I go home, maybe my mom and I can work on some together. I don't know what we will do with tons of crochet snowflakes (maybe garlands?), but it will be fun to sit by the fire and work on them anyway.
I'm actually leaving for Michigan tomorrow, it's going to be a long visit but I need it. I've lived in Oregon for five months, and as much as I love it here, I am really close with my family and I miss them a lot. A whole lot. I love christmas too and it's very tied up with family for me so it's going to be especially good to be with them all though the Holidays. I'm also SO excited to see my cat again I can hardly stand it! And snow! and to be out in the woods! I know once I'm there I will miss all kinds of things about Portland too so I will be all happy and refreshed to come back:)

I'm a horrible crochet-maker.....so those pretty little snowflakes are beyond my reach! ;) alas!
Being away from loved ones after a far-off move is very hard, I miss my parents ever so much since our move! Have a lovely, warm and cozy time with you family!! Happy Christmas!!
