I feel strange posting pictures of myself but I wanted to model some new brooches. I made a few a little bigger and I really like how they look and how they feel kind of heavy. Plus I've never kept a brooch for myself either so I don't really wear them regularly, it's nice to sort of see them in use.

Also I wanted to share these wonderful autochromes (early 20th c. color photography). I am enjoying them so much right now (especially the woman on the couch with her dog for some reason). I like how peaceful they are and how they seem more Intimate than b&w photos of the same sort of subject mater, even the landscapes and still life. I don't really know how to explain it but please take a look at more here.

You make a lovely model for such pretty brooches! :) I know how you feel about posting pictures of yourself.....I do, and then I go back and remove them because I feel so odd about it. I'm such a silly little recluse! tee hee! :)
Oh!!I've been pouring over a big book of autochromes for the past week...I can look at them for hours and hours! They are so amazing and beautiful!
those brooches are so dainty and pretty. i like them in a cluster like that, as well. i have to agree with the above comment; you make a lovely model!
hello hello, + i like your blog very much.
These are amazing! I am not sure if you saw that I started a blog about vintage photos and ephemera. Seems like something you might like. Come on by. Krissy

Isn't it funny how difficult it can be to take our own photo? You look so old-world and wonderful!! I love seeing your brooches in multiples, like wearing a creativity regiment jacket! and the lace around your neck- dreamy!!!
Your link is amazing, those colors and poses... wish that photographers still did images like these. I love the ones you chose...
Beautiful! The pins look amazing (how very whimsy-military!)and the photos you posted...so beautiful...love the girls in the field.
Thanks everyone! I'm glad you enjoyed the autochromes!
i very much like your hair, and the jacket is exquisite - how perfectly it works with the lacey shirt beneath.
and obviously, i cherish my own brooch from you. i must invest in another quite soon:)
Love your outfit Julianna, and I second Lou's feelings on the brooches. I loooove mine to pieces, and it's really nice seeing them in a cluster, like how you're wearing them in the photo!
