Oh lord. I was struck down by some sort of stomach bug all Sunday. Terrible terrible. I’m not feeling 100% yet but I have packing to do! I’m leaving tomorrow to go back East for the Biannual opening. I’m excited about that of course, but I’m also just happy to do some traveling. I’ll be flying to Michigan, where my family lives, then my mum and I are driving out to Maine and back making some stops along the way. I’ve been feeling so dull and stuck in a routine, I can’t wait to get away for a while to recharge.
I decided to mostly close down my shop while I’m gone this time. I’ve left the brooches since they are pretty easy to pack but I just couldn’t take everything. I'm already getting panicked emails from people wondering where everything went! Everything will be back in early may! However, I printed two new editions and if I can fit those in my suitcase hopefully I’ll be able to sneak them into the shop in a week or two. I may also just re-list everything before I come back with a delayed shipping date but we'll see.
I've been making scones using this mix this mix. They turn out perfect and delicious!
Did anyone watch Little Dorrit on PBS last night? I only saw the first hour because I was still unwell and had to sleep, but I can't wait to see the rest when it's on DVD.

Yes, I watched Little Dorrit on PBS last night, and I really enjoyed it! I'm in agony over having to wait a week to watch then last half. I'm so, so, so in love with BBC mini-series. My favorites are North & South, and the 2008 Tess of the D'urbervilles.
Happy travels. NOthing recharges and inspires like a trip. I had such a clean slate and a fresh brain when we returned from San Francisco!

also i am learning to identify bird chirps, it's hard but maybe someday i can reach julianna bird call status.
